Smugglers Notch resort consistently ranks at the top for family ski vacationsThese guys are super pumped! Look at that pile on the balcony!
Okay great. Should I still consider Smugglers Notch resort if I am not skiing or riding with a family? My answer is absolutely. Smuggs ranks in the top of best ski resorts reviews for family ski vacations year in and year out but that doesn't mean a group of friends can't go and tear it up for a weekend. One of the best times I had here was with a group of guys about 20 years ago. It was the pre wife and kid days. We went up on a Saturday with plans to ski Sunday and drive home at the end of the day. A huge storm hit Saturday night and Sunday so the mountain was basically closed because of visibility and wind. We sat around all day Sunday and partied while calling in sick (I mean stranded) for Monday. We had 2.5 feet of freshy to what seemed like ourselves. The ski patrol guys told us not to worry about ropes as we were getting to the tops of trails before they could remove them all. Awesome. One thing you know if you have been around this site is that I am a huge fan of sub $70 lift ticket prices. Smuggs has been able to do that again this year even for peak times. The ride is a little bit more than many people want but it is worth it. This is the kind of ski resort that you can throw the car keys on the counter when you get there and not worry about them again until it is time to go home. Directions to Smugglers Notch Resort No matter what type of skier or rider your are you must check out this resort in you quest for which of the Vermont ski areas to hit this year. Smugglers Notch Vermont is
is a "must try" ski mountain at some point of time whether you are skiing with a family or not.
