Smugglers Notch trail mapThe Smugglers Notch trail map tells you alot about the resort. As you can see the terrain is well diversified and the skiers and riders are well segregated by ability. Morse Mountain is specifically for beginners while Madonna and Sterling have a good mix of expert and intermediate runs. There are some nice gladed trails that even nonexperts can handle. I like how the abilities are separated by ability but I feel that most resorts should find a way to cut at least one green top to bottom trail. If newbies get a taste of what it feels like to be at the top of a mountain I expect that they would be more inclined to improve their ability at a faster pace opening up more terrain options.
