Ragged Mountain Resort is another great place for a ski daytrip or Weekend in New Hampshire.
I like tight spots like this one. I wonder what is behind those trees.
Ragged Mountain Resort New Hampshire. I had never considered even going there until a couple years ago. My son was doing
an after school snowboard camp at Blue Hills and they got free lift tickets to this Danbury resort at the end of the season.
The cool part about it was that a few families in town were also going so so we had a ton of people with our group.
I have to admit my expectations were pretty low but I was pleasantly surprised by this lesser known mountain.
There a are a few more trails with some decent pitch than I expected. Like many of the not so huge New Hampshire ski resorts,
there is a single base area which made it excellent to find each other and for the nonskiers to have a close place to hang out.
Lift ticket prices are OK, maybe a little steep for this size
area but the mountain is so easy to get to that you will ski more and drive less so it is worth it.

One thing that is lacking is a good supply of ski lodging in the immediate area so most places are a little bit of a drive as you can see from the link above . The resort is not covered with a ton of condos which can be a good thing.
We didn't have to deal with liftlines or crowded trails in any of the three years that we went to Ragged Mountain Resort. The skiing conditions were also better than expected being that it was late in the year and
New Englanders know that sometimes the more southern ski resorts can melt away a little early.
