Northern New Hampshire ski resorts offer a variety of terrain, prices and conditions so anybody can find a suitable place to go for a ski vacation
Northern New Hampshire is home to many of the top New Hampshire ski resorts. This region is where I had my first big mountain experience. I was 7 years old and one of my friends family owned a condo at Attitash. I remember his mother saying "don't go to the top of the mountain" but of course we did as soon as she wasn't looking. My oldest son learned to ski at Cannon and when he switched to snowboarding, he was also at Cannon. He thinks he is good now but he still can't catch me until about 2:00. That pesky middle aged thigh burn besides I get thirsty around that time! Most of the people I know ski The Granite State because of the accessability of the resorts. The I93 corridor is especially popular with people in southern New England. If you fly into Boston you can be at just about any of these ski areas in 2-3 hours. There are also many options for cheap ski vacations. Most of the Northern New Hampshire Ski Resorts offer different types discounts and ski and stay package deals. Several of these areas also rank highly in ski resort reviews in various categories. Check out each place for what they offer and choose your preference. You will find an area that suits you whether you have been skiing for 40 years or need to learn to ski. Because of the variety and placement of the resorts, the skiing conditions and snowfall amounts can vary by a wide margin. Watch the storms to see who gets what and plan your days accordingly. Click on the links below to get more info on each resort.
