Middlebury Snow Bowl is a lesser known Vermont ski areas

I like using this picture. It makes me laugh because of the mark in the snow. You know the guy before him went down.

And I bet some of the locals like it that way. Middlebury Snow Bowl is the third oldest of the Vermont ski resorts. A staple for the young people attending the nearby college. My kids still aren't thinking about college yet but I talk to my older son about the benefits of location. He gets it.

If you are after cheap ski vacations you should definitely look at this college mountain. Lift ticket prices are 20-30 dollars less and in some cases less than half of what some of the larger resorts charge. Being small in price doesn't mean worse skiing conditions.

As you can see by this trail map you won't be at a huge mountain with a zillion trails but you will get in tons of runs.

The mountain is not built up with a million ski condos but there are plenty of reasonable places to stay in the area.
