Yup. Skiing Killington Vermont ski resort for the first time or if you haven't been there in a while requires a trail map. The slopes are spread out over a huge area. The last time I was there was for the Sunshine Daydeam Festival in April 07. I stayed with my kids all day so I wouldn't lose them (except when I came in to check out the bands and have an adult beverage).

Huge amounts of snowmaking and trail count along with nightlife are this Vermont hot spot's top traits. Because of it's size and capacity this mega ski resort can offer some of the best skiing conditions in New England. It is and deserves to be considered one of the best east coast ski resorts. There is plenty of diverse terrain also. The famed Outer Limits and Superstar trails are serious thigh burners. Skiers and snowboarders alike will be able to find tons of options all over the place at Killington.

If you are looking for discount ski vacations, definitely look in the Rutland area. Many options are available for lodging and dining to suit all budgets. You are going to want something that includes tickets or at least check into multiday ticket options because lift ticket prices by themselves are not the cheapest part of the trip.
