Jiminy Peak Ski Resort is another Berkshire gem for riding and skiing Massachusetts
Keep Jiminy Peak ski resort on your radar when you are planning your snow skiing or riding trip this year . For those of you thinking about skiing New York you may want to look just over the border in Mass.
It has been a long time since I have been to this Western Mass ski resort. As I mention in my other pages the Massacusetts skiing destinations are on my agenda for the winter 10/11. These areas are as far
a ride as the northern areas so I do tend to go north. Directions to Jiminy Peak Ski Resort As you
can see it is really not difficult to get to from several major cities and probably from where you live
You get several things at this mountain that others don't offer. Trail selection and a decent sized mountain are the main things that separate this mountain from other Mass ski areas. Check out the trail map
and mountain stats.
They have more trails and higher lift capacity than many of the other options in Southern New England. I like that beginning skiers can go to the top and get a full mountain experience. Night skiing and on-mountain accommodations are also big pluses. The mountain is much more of a full on resort
than just another local ski area.
Check lodging deals and availability and book your Jiminy Peak trip
Now here are a couple knocks. Lift ticket prices
are a little more than other comparable ski mountains. They do offer some deals but it would be nice to see better midweek pricing. As noted above there is plenty of ways down from the top for novice
skiers and riders which means all ability levels are getting in line for the same lifts. It is a good thing that a quad and triple run parallel to the 6 pack and
better skiers and riders can utilize these 2 chairs.
