Cochrans ski area little known outside Vermont.

One of the little known Vermont ski areas, Cochrans ski area can boast something that some of the big players cannot. The production of Olympic athletes.

The ski area is also the first non-profit ski area.

I have never been here but from what I have read this area would be a great place to learn to ski. Last years lift ticket prices were about a third of what the larger family ski resorts charge which is great for families in the vicinity.

If my kids were still younger I would definately take them here to get countless runs up and down.

The location right off 89 between the stowe exit and Burlington gives you easy access. If you are heading to one of the bigger Vermont ski areas and have some extra time, stop in and let the kids get in some runs even if you don't want to.

We know their legs will go alot longer than ours.
