Blue hills. Backyard skiing and riding near Boston at Bluehills

Blue Hills Ski Area is the easiest places to get to from in and around the Boston-Metro area. It actually kind of looks out of place when you drive by. Get directions to the ski area.
Many area schools have after-school trips to this ski area in their backyard as well as have their race teams practice here.
My older son did a snowboarding program for a couple years on Friday afternoons. He had a lot of fun and his riding skills improved drastically.
As I say about all the backyard ski areas, it is not a ski vacation destination but a great place for beginners or if you don't have time
for a lengthy trip. Some runs are better than no runs so if your are short on time this area is another good option for riding or skiing Massachusetts

Another demographic group that should be skiing here are singles. Dinners and movies get old. Take the person on your radar screen
skiing or riding for a few hours on Friday night. Might get you some points for creativity and probably not as expensive as other options!
