Bartlett New Hampshire is home to Attitash Mountain Resort and ski area, one of the premier New Hampshire ski resorts. It is the first big mountain skiing experience I had as a kid. I admit I have not been there in years but my kids have. My wife took them there for a weekend while I was out in Tahoe. There was no way I was going skiing and they weren't. A friend of mine was getting married at Heavenly so the family was NOT coming with me.

With close vicinity to North Conway as you can see by these, directions, this is a top notch place for a family ski vacation. North Conway and the Mount Washington Valley are loaded with options for lodging, dining and for non-mountaingoers, shopping. There are plenty of places to stay right at the Mountain. One of the best is the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel

If my memory serves me correctly the mountain offers many great blue cruisers and a few descent blacks. The area is also one of the better ski mountains to learn to ski. The crew at Attitash takes great pride in their grooming and snowmaking as well. With 2 separate peaks there are plenty of choices for each run. Check out the trail map and mountain stats.

Lift ticket prices are a little on the high side but if you hunt around you can probably find some sort of package or discount to help out with the cost. And don't forget the old saying "you get what you pay for"

No matter what level skier or rider you are, there is plenty of fun to be found at this Mt Washington Valley ski resort.
